the last sin
  pale ashen sky
a bleary eye
clouds of recurring screams...
i am a zoo
  an octopus leviathan
tentacles into an ocean
of unformed emotions...
syphilis and love
  syphilitic pall
stifles the clear blue
i contort...
shell and pearl
  amidst highs and lows
in life's ocean flows
a shell peony-mouthed...
i am an unmarried mother
  fed on stings
of barbed milk morality
my child-plankton...
the lovers
  cell upon cell
bridge of their union
hung on the pillars...
  ogre of age
and time cavil
at a warm picture...
the young today
  innocence thaws
at the altar
of ambition...

reality check

hey look at this picture
a bloated middle-aged man
grotesque and shapeless
in fake Bermudas
trundling along listlessly
amid merrymaking holiday crowd
flabby English thighs
guzzling beer in a sunken pool
on the sides sprawls
veiled womanhood

puffed up cheeks
deflated esteem
parasailing oddity
churnings in lower intestines
when he showers
even the bathroom chokes
obsessive ritualising
avarice is his new consort
he thinks of her daily
and makes love to her
in the middle of night
he feeds on paranoia
the dread of touch
the desire of skin
so he talks to bots on the web
bots who wear tight thongs
and loose morals
their surfeit has taken lusty
innocence out of therapeutic
chatting commerce rules
hey gotta submit
your credit card details

call it mid-life blues
show him the mirror
he is pretty alienated
right now
