puppy love
in lush Tuscany countryside
ever tasted olive leaves?
idyllic setting
for deflowerment
and growing up
playing the adult games
the gravel road morphs
into a dark Siena ochre
rich deep colours
reds blues burnt oranges
canvases by Matisse
music by Mozart
the texture of life
imbued with intemperance
and innocence
when the virgin
writes poetry words appear
sculpted by a seraph
and float
like a reverie
the first kiss
years later
leads to the first time
a moment of glory for
the art and life
of sexuality
virgin no more
