the last sin
  pale ashen sky
a bleary eye
clouds of recurring screams...
i am a zoo
  an octopus leviathan
tentacles into an ocean
of unformed emotions...
syphilis and love
  syphilitic pall
stifles the clear blue
i contort...

shell and pearl
  amidst highs and lows
in life's ocean flows
a shell peony-mouthed...

i am an unmarried mother

  fed on stings
of barbed milk morality
my child-plankton...

the lovers
  cell upon cell
bridge of their union
hung on the pillars...
rebirth
  ogre of age
and time cavil
at a warm picture...
the young today
  innocence thaws
at the altar
of ambition...

everywoman

she sat entwined in dreams
all of nineteen
with stars in her hair
and a moon song on her lips
of the unpromising reality
that she couldn't see

but could feel the pain
of measured existence
and tempered release

and try to shield her soul
in compassion and in verse

she stepped out feet twitching
in green grass
the bubbles floating in mid air

she could feel the wet earth
on her palms
the smell of rain
the touch of birth

her soles absorb the mud
and soak in existence
a neverending story in an everland

she stepped out feet twitching
in green grass

its blades cutting her skin tenderly
like the gush of first love
the first kiss
that overwhelms and benumbs
the metaphysical unites
with the physical
and she is one with her self
curving to the rhythm
the tempo set before
the taste of fresh dew drops
on her lips

she plants her feet
on muddy brown soil
fondling each leaf
crafting its birth its death
for she plucks torn roots submerged

grass wrestles against skin
for she is one with her self again
feet crushing the earth sublime
being born and being reborn
every waking moment
the real fusing with the ethereal
resurrection never insipid

a real unreal earth goddess
she is everywoman

touch her feel her
make love with her
dare her drape her
dawning lucidity
before the cycle breaks

fondle her preserve her
vanquish her
get vanquished
hold the love she placed
in your palm

she is everywoman

she stepped out feet twitching
in green grass

did you see the sun
in the rear view mirror
it was tiptoeing behind her
following her every move
her reflections above grass
and in the night like a demon lover
he would come and make love
the misty air soft silken dreams
and get consumed
she is a sun victor
she is everywoman

is she?
like you and me
she is the soft natural step
have you tasted fresh dew drops
on her lips

and the sweat on her thigh
have you seen the bloody roots
in her palm
have you seen the soil sink
from her fists

the soft tender nerves swollen
with too much loving

she is all giving
she is everywoman
