the last sin
  pale ashen sky
a bleary eye
clouds of recurring screams...
i am a zoo
  an octopus leviathan
tentacles into an ocean
of unformed emotions...
syphilis and love
  syphilitic pall
stifles the clear blue
i contort...
shell and pearl
  amidst highs and lows
in life's ocean flows
a shell peony-mouthed...
i am an unmarried mother
  fed on stings
of barbed milk morality
my child-plankton...
the lovers
  cell upon cell
bridge of their union
hung on the pillars...
  ogre of age
and time cavil
at a warm picture...
the young today
  innocence thaws
at the altar
of ambition...

Woman of Caferati

streaks of red on her breasts
a fever runs through
her unrelenting longings
and lost loves
she bares her soul
and her body shines
balmy and alluring
luscious because the mind
replete with verse enlivens
many a hibernating ego

wisps of red on her lips
and they glow translucent
a mix with silver from inside
full and foreboding
she’s like the earth
and its myriad moods
designed to tamper
many a stray thought

swathes of red on her hips
ah the way they sway
fit her into a slot
and the mould breaks
revealing an uninhibited spirit
dancing with abandon
carving word sculptures
on alkaline seabeds

the fiery consort
of the pagan god
of poetry
