the last sin
  pale ashen sky
a bleary eye
clouds of recurring screams...
i am a zoo
  an octopus leviathan
tentacles into an ocean
of unformed emotions...
syphilis and love
  syphilitic pall
stifles the clear blue
i contort...

shell and pearl
  amidst highs and lows
in life's ocean flows
a shell peony-mouthed...

i am an unmarried mother

  fed on stings
of barbed milk morality
my child-plankton...

the lovers
  cell upon cell
bridge of their union
hung on the pillars...
rebirth
  ogre of age
and time cavil
at a warm picture...
the young today
  innocence thaws
at the altar
of ambition...

Missing you at Caferati

Hey you peripatetic soul
Are you on your rounds
Traversing the length
Of this crazy little place
Called the World?
Or are you ensconced
In Megapolis’ rain
Sipping Darjeeling in bed
And reading
The Alchemy of Desire?
Or maybe you have left
The city for the mountains
Those mighty majestic peaks
That beckon you once a year
Are you at this moment
Deep in the woods
Conversing with nature
Unravelling its secrets?
Who cares if there’s mayhem
At the Stock Exchange
Or an unexplained absence
At Caferati nesting place
For culture vultures
Maybe just maybe
You are writing a tome
On Investment Banking
And Poetry and how
The twain shall meet
While the sun shines
In rear-view mirror
Creating kaleidoscopic

Patterns
