stardust
a gentle swish
of a golden feather
on her eyelids
and her eyes turn amber
the colour of fire
and earth a teardrop melts
into early morn dew
“i have three ears for your poem,
do write” she said
it all began as a conversation
as conversations go
lightly salted a bit tangy
and sweet
then somewhere a dream
tiptoed in riding the crest
on a moonlit night
and the scene shifted
to a pristine beach
where shooting stars
were prancing
in the cobalt blue
and in the distance
a lighthouse spread shine
the sand under their feet
felt warm-cold
as they traversed the shore
in a communion of souls
that converse
touch flirt connect heal rejuvenate
water music
he looked at her beautiful
mesmerising silhouette
reached to touch her
a hug was in order
and discovered
it was a dream
as real as dreams can be
he wonders however
what the stardust
scattered yet contained
was doing
on that pristine beach
a forever day in a forever dream
