Jellyfish
A devoted mother posts on Internet
Her toddler aged four, ah bless him
Needs a poem to go with his fancy dress
She is dressing him up as a Jellyfish
Oh what a swell Jellyfish he would be
Jellyfish Jellyfish why are you bell-shaped
And what’s all that jelly doing in your belly?
Tell me how you sting with your tentacles
And pray why you sail like a Zombie?
You feed on small fish and zooplankton
And dance like a ballerina in slo-mo
Some say you don’t biologically qualify as Fish
Would you then prefer Jellies or Sea Jellies?
When you swim together in a group
You are called a Smack, oh that
Lip smacking delicious you are when sliced and marinated
Jellyfish bells a common appetizer in Chinese cuisine
When stung by a jellyfish, it’s no laughing matter, folks
So beware the wrath of a Box Jellyfish
Jellyfish Jellyfish why are you bell-shaped
And what’s all that jelly doing in your belly?
