the last sin
  pale ashen sky
a bleary eye
clouds of recurring screams...
i am a zoo
  an octopus leviathan
tentacles into an ocean
of unformed emotions...
syphilis and love
  syphilitic pall
stifles the clear blue
i contort...
shell and pearl
  amidst highs and lows
in life's ocean flows
a shell peony-mouthed...
i am an unmarried mother
  fed on stings
of barbed milk morality
my child-plankton...
the lovers
  cell upon cell
bridge of their union
hung on the pillars...
  ogre of age
and time cavil
at a warm picture...
the young today
  innocence thaws
at the altar
of ambition...

night vision

an aerial view of a huge natural lake
deep and resplendent in all its finery
a playing field of exotic creatures
a panoramic vision of the jungle verdure
there's a feel of lush vegetation
though it's not overtly visible
a majestic mountain broods in the background
like an unanswered prayer
at once the innate splendour of african terrain
at once the scene back home
the connect transcends the confines
of space and real time
call it the brotherhood of terra firma
revelries of the subconscious
or the delirium of delusions
now and then the lake disappears
and turns into a marshy grassland
where denizens move with a swagger
flying tigers rule the roost swish they go
life in rich abandon of blue and green
the imagery is of a faraway land
yet in a paradoxical and kaleidoscopic twist of events
it's my dry and unremarkable city
that becomes a tourist hotspot
seems to have grown a new dimension
a pretender a pariah a slayer of sensibilities
beating the monochrome of tedium
belting the pulse of life into the ogre of grey
two worlds coalesce into one
what do you make of this?
